Mamady Youla is a Guinean economist, senior civil servant and statesman. Graduated from the University of Abidjan, he obtained a DEA in macroeconomics in 1994, followed by a postgraduate degree in Banking and Finance in Paris.


After eight years at the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea, where he held the position of Director of the Department of Studies, Research and Publications, Mamady Youla has acquired extensive expertise in the economic and financial fields.


His reputation consolidated when he headed the Guinea Alumina Corporation in 2004, becoming the first Guinean executive of a multinational mining company.


In December 2015, he was appointed Prime Minister by President Alpha Condé, a position he held with distinction until May 2018.
