Childhood and Education

Continuing his academic career, he joined the Conakry Polytechnic from 1997 to 1999, where he attended a preparatory course of engineering. From 1999 to 2003, he studied law at the Faculty of Economics and Management, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Conakry.

Professional career

In 2003, Sansy Kaba Diakité received a scholarship from the French state, opening the doors of the University of Le Mans in France. This is where he specialized in management and management of social economy enterprises, providing support for the creation and administration of a publishing house. This experience was decisive, as it allowed him to undertake a six-month internship at the prestigious publishing house L'Harmattan in Paris.

Back in Guinea in 2004, Sansy Kaba Diakité coordinated the project of the International Summer University, bringing together 136 young participants aged 18 to 25 from Francophone African countries.

In September 2006, Sansy Kaba Diakité fulfilled her dream by founding L'Harmattan Guinea, a Guinean law publishing house representing Editions L'Harattan in France. Since then, he has published more than 170 titles and discovered about fifty new Guinean authors, thus contributing to the promotion of national literature and the spread of emerging voices.

Conakry World Book Capital

The year 2017 marked a major turning point for Sansy Kaba Diakité and for Guinea. Conakry was designated "World Book Capital" by UNESCO, a prestigious distinction that placed Guinea's culture at the forefront of the world. Sansy Kaba Diakité was appointed general commissioner of this major event, which he led until March 2018.

This year was marked by numerous literary events, authors' meetings, debates and dedication sessions. Conakry thus became a true crossroads of culture, lit the flame of reading and writing in the hearts of many Guineans, especially among young people.
