"I am in Guinea to implement my project which aims to help children with cleft lip and facial tumors, which are conditions that are very little known in our country," she declared upon her return. This initiative materialized through a diagnostic campaign organized from January 2-6, 2020, showing her determination to transform her title into concrete actions.
Kadiatou's humanitarian commitment was further demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the distance, as she continued her education in Canada, she did not forget the vulnerable people in her country of origin. Through her NGO "Children's Smile," she orchestrated distributions of food, hand-washing kits, and masks to residents of the Ratoma solidarity center, a facility hosting approximately 116 families and 729 residents with disabilities.
As Professor Rafiou Diallo, Kadiatou's father and a member of the NGO, emphasized, this initiative reflected his daughter's constant concern for her native country: "She feels it would be a shame to remain at a distance and not think of her country, in order to minimize the impact of this pandemic on the vulnerable groups in our country."
This action was warmly welcomed by the center's management, as evidenced by the words of Mrs. Nanci Rose Crespin, Deputy Director General: "This donation fills us with joy and happiness, because we know that currently, all activities are slowing down with the coronavirus."
