Education and Training

After her secondary education, Lauriane Darboux chose to engage in the French gendarmerie. In 2005, she attended her class as a volunteer deputy gendarme at the Tulle gendarmerie school, before joining the prestigious Republican Guard in Paris. In 2006, she continued her training by obtaining the degree of sub-officer of gendarmerie at the former school of Libourne, in Gironde. His years of service in the Chabeuil gendarmerie in the Drôme allowed him to acquire solid operational experience.

Career

A professional police officer in France, Lauriane Darboux has proven herself on the ground. In 2014, she received congratulations for her role in resolving a theft case, demonstrating her ability as an investigator. In 2016, she obtained the rank of judicial police officer of the gendarmerie, and then that of marshal of the logis-chief in 2017. Her last appointment led her to the investigative and anti-corruption team in Valencia, where she used her talents as an investigator.

First Lady of Guinea

The fate of Lauriane Darboux took a decisive turn in 2021, when her companion, Mamadi Doumbouya, led a coup in Guinea. Becoming the de facto First Lady, Lauriane embarked on her new role with determination and empathy. Since then, Lauriane Darboux-Doumbouya has multiplied initiatives in favour of the people of Guinea. On 15 August, she also celebrated the feast of the Assumption with the Christians of Boké, demonstrating her commitment to the unity of the country.
