Childhood and education 

Yama Sega was born in 1995 in Conakry to Fadima Cissoko and Sega. From an early age, Yama showed an innate gift for singing and music. Descending from a long line of griots on her mother's side, the music flowed naturally through her veins. 

She completed her primary education at Coleah Lanaseboungny School in Conakry, where she laid the foundations for her schooling career. Subsequently, Yama attended Hadja Mariama Doubreka College in Yimbaya for his secondary education.

Excellent student, she was distinguished by her thirst for learning and her determination. 

It is this same desire that led her to join the prestigious Lansana Conté General University of Sonfoniya where she obtained a bachelor's degree in political science in 2017. Although promising, his emerging career in public administration has failed to eclips his true passion: music.

Music career beginnings 

As she began an internship at a transportation agency in Conakry after her studies, Yama could not ignore the call of music flowing through her veins. She sought advice and mentoring from the famous Guinean singer Mama Saran, known as Djeli Mousso Civilisee. 

Under his tutelage, Yama refined his innate talent, learning the subtleties of the profession while perfecting his vocal prowess. As a chorist alongside Mama Saran, she prepared for the stage, despite some doubts about her ability to break through this competitive environment.

Success and breakthrough

It was in 2017 that Yama Sega really revealed itself to the general guinean public with the release of its first title "Nfatara". This song made the effect of a bomb, highlighting the young singer's incredible vocal and artistic talent. Yama's enchanting melodies and powerful voice instantly conquered the hearts of fans, marking the beginning of a promising career.
